Research & Education

Bellarmine Spring Capstone Project

The purpose of this research study is to compare the accuracy of the UprightVR™ system, a novel assessment tool using a virtual reality headset, as compared to traditional balance assessments: the Tinetti Balance Assessment and Timed Up and Go (TUG). The data from the outcome measures will be analyzed to determine effectiveness in assessing balance and falls risk in community-dwelling adults.

Strive to Thrive

Thrive, in collaboration with Bellarmine University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, provides a falls prevention program to educate and strengthen the core body in order to promote independent living.
