Sheri Rose is the CEO / Executive Director of the Thrive Center, a nonprofit innovation center
focused on wellness and aging. She is also a partner at Commonwealth Leverage LLC, a healthcare professional consulting firm. Sheri previously held positions with AT&T, as Director of Sales & Regulatory. She serves on the Executive Board of the Women’s Political Council of Louisville and on the board of New Directions Housing Authority. She was named by Louisville Business First as “Top 20 People to Know in Aging” and was recognized by HealthTech Magazine as one of three women to know in health IT. Sheri holds a B.A and M.Ed. in Psychology from the University of Louisville.<
Carol Challas
Director of Events and Programs
Carol, the Director of Events and Programs has been with Thrive since before the doors opened in October of 2017. She brings to Thrive a background in nursing, project management, computer networking, website and database administration, technical writing, training and instructional design. She has worked for Fortune 100 and 500 companies as well as small companies and non-profits. She is the founder and coach of the Derby City Dragons, a dragon boat racing team for breast cancer survivors.
Connie Ashley
Special Events Support
Connie is a retiree of AT&T and joined Thrive in November of 2017. Connie schedules tours of the Thrive Center and provides operational support. She enjoys spending time with her family and vacationing with friends.
Molly Knigge
Director of Operations
Molly came to the Thrive Center in February 2023 after the last 17 years managing long term care facilities across the Commonwealth and mothering three delightful daughters. She brings her unique blend of skills, love of service, and knack for all things technology to her role as Director of Operations.

Michael Buckman
Director of Business Development
Working to benefit the community in healthcare is nothing new for Michael Buckman, who began his career over a decade ago in the nonprofit world. Continuing his service to others as the former Director of Development at Nazareth Home has broadened his understanding of the vital role Louisville plays in expanding aging healthcare innovation ecosystem.
While Buckman was building his career, he has also managed to get his master's degree and is currently pursuing his doctorate in Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In his spare time, he spends it with his wife, Janet, son, Alex, and their three pugs. Michael and his family established Linda's Closet at Family Scholar House.
