Sheri Rose ~CEO / Executive Director Commonwealth Leverage LLC – Partner

Sheri Rose is the CEO / Executive Director of the Thrive Center, a nonprofit innovation center
focused on wellness and aging. She is also a partner at Commonwealth Leverage LLC, a healthcare professional consulting firm. Sheri previously held positions with AT&T, as Director of Sales & Regulatory. She serves on the Executive Board of the Women’s Political Council of Louisville and on the board of New Directions Housing Authority. She was named by Louisville Business First as “Top 20 People to Know in Aging” and was recognized by HealthTech Magazine as one of three women to know in health IT. Sheri holds a B.A and M.Ed. in Psychology from the University of Louisville.

As CEO of the Nazareth Home in Louisville, Kentucky, since 2001, Ms. Haynes is an active advocate for innovation in long term care. Haynes was voted Administrator of the Year by her peers in 2003 and is past chairman of the American College of Healthcare Administrators, Kentucky chapter.   She is a leader in Kentucky’s Coalition for Person Centered Care.

Nancy LeaMond ~Chief Advocacy and Engagement Officer, AARP

As AARP’s chief advocacy and engagement officer, Nancy LeaMond has responsibility for driving the organization’s social mission on behalf of Americans 50-plus and their families. Nancy leads government affairs and legislative campaigns for AARP, widely seen as one of the most powerful advocacy organizations in the country.

Jonathan Karl ~ CDW Healthcare Sales Director

Jonathan served as a founding member of CDW Healthcare. He is responsible for
the strategic leadership and development of the sales management team that covers the
Eastern United States, as well as the direction and development of CDW Healthcare’s
Ambulatory & Post-Acute Care / Senior Living IT adoption and integration programs.

Benjamin Moore ~ Project Manager, Department of Economic Development

For nearly three years now, Ben has proudly served as an Economic Development project manager for
his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. With a previous focus on logistics and eCommerce, Ben has had
the privilege of assisting companies like UPS, EY and W. W. Grainger, in everything from locating or
expanding operations to renaming streets.

Gary Charland, J.D. ~ President & CEO, Masonic Homes of California

Gary Charland has more than 25 years of experience in innovative and strategic
health care leadership. Prior to becoming a health care professional, Mr. Charland
was a practicing attorney. Mr. Charland served in various positions with the Washington Hospital Health Care System before becoming CEO of the Masonic Homes.

Dr. Kim Perry ~DO, MBA, MHCM

Dr. Kim Perry, DO, MBA, MHCM joined Kindred Healthcare LLC in 2019 as its Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer.  Dr. Perry has 25 years of experience in emergency medicine and the healthcare industry, and came to Kindred from UnitedHealth Group.  In 2017 she became CMO of the company’s UnitedHealthcare platform.  Prior to her role with UnitedHealthcare, Dr. Perry spent nearly a decade with BJC Healthcare in St. Louis, where she held a number of leadership roles, including Chief of Emergency Medicine and Dean of Medical Education.

Richard C. Schutt ~Chief Executive Officer Providence Life Services

Richard C. Schutt, Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Schutt has been with the organization over 40 years.
He has the responsibility for overseeing operations, finance, marketing, development, and
administrative divisions of Providence Life Services. Mr. Schutt has served on the Global Ageing
Network (GAN) on two occasions. He was a past Board of Directors Chair of the national
association, LeadingAge, formerly known as AAHSA.

Carl Goodfriend has nearly 40 years of experience working in senior living.  Carl
serves a dual role as CIO for ProviNET Solutions and Providence Life Services.
As the senior-most officer for ProviNET Solutions, Carl is tasked with maintaining
ProviNET’s vision, mission and core values through every aspect of leadership
and day-to-day operations.
